JOAN THIELE
Joan Thiele is a singer-songwriter and producer whose distinctive sound bridges her Colombian and Italian roots.
Raised between the two countries, she has developed a unique musical language that blends R&B, soul, and jazz influences with a cinematic sensibility inspired by the iconic soundtracks of 1960s and 1970s Italian cinema, from Piero Umiliani to Piero Piccioni.
Renowned for her original artistic vision and experimental approach to contemporary pop music, Joan has built a rich sonic universe across projects including the EP Operazione Oro and Atti, a three-part release that explores themes of identity, storytelling, and visual imagination. Her work seamlessly combines modern songwriting with atmospheric production, creating music that feels both intimate and expansive.
In 2023, Joan won the David di Donatello Award for Best Original Song with Proiettili, featured in the film Ti mangio il cuore, which premiered at the 79th Venice Film Festival. Continuing her artistic ascent, she made her debut as a competing artist at the 2025 Sanremo Music Festival, further cementing her place as one of Italy’s most compelling contemporary voices.
In December 2024, Joan released VELENO, a powerful new single that introduced the next chapter of her artistic journey and served as the first preview of her forthcoming album, released in spring 2025.
